"Dang composter..."

This is how we started

In 2009, we found a used composter on a local Freecycle Network site. We were living in a neighborhood at the time and thought outfitting our suburban home with a composter would help us best feed our backyard garden. We also wanted to prevent replacing our garbage disposal for the third time.

We were excited about composting - though not everyone was. One of our neighbors actually planted a row of trees to block the view. Even so, we're grateful for the role composting played as our first step to a more sustainable life. We still compost today. It enriches our soil to helps us grow nutrient-dense food for you and me.

We left our suburban home in 2014 to try on
